Google advertising, whether it be via "Adwords" or "Google Shopping" can be a bit daunting if you are not experienced in setting up and managing it.
No doubt you have tried it in the past and found it too expensive or not getting in enough sales for the amount of budget you spend. The reason for this is that you need to set it up in the correct way, and you need to have a strategy for allowing it to run for a certain amount of time under expert supervision to see whether it really will work for you or not.
Some people say it is "Too Expensive" when they discuss spending £100s or £1000s per month on Google Advertising, but this is only true if you are not getting the sales back that are multiples of these amounts. If you sell £10,000 of products for a £1,000 spent on Google, then you would probably want to do that over and over again. If you spend £1,000 and get only £1,000 in sales for that spend, then clearly you wouldn't want to do that over and over again.
It doesn't work well for every single type of product. For example if you wanted to start selling iPhones, then are you are unlikely to have great success with Google Adwords or Google Shopping unless you have a team of people to run your accounts and a very large budget to take on the big players in the world.
For most other products however, it can work very well, and you can see quite quickly whether it is going to work for you or not with accurate measuring of the costs, the costs per sale and the daily budgets.
